Ellie has studied Buddhism, and practiced meditation, for almost twenty years. From this she draws a special interest in the direct experience of the mind’s relation to breath and the body.¬†Serious physical injury led Ellie to yoga as a therapeutic method, incorporating meditation and breath practice. Such a holistic response to trauma, with its potential for transformation, inspired Ellie to train with the British Wheel of Yoga, rooted in her own ongoing daily practice. She is currently a Teaching Diploma student.¬†Ellie aspires to teach with an emphasis on accessibility, clarity and simplicity and to enable students in their everyday life.
